Maija Mikkola Curtis, DVM
Dr. Maija did her undergraduate work at the University of Michigan, and completed her veterinary degree at Michigan State University in May of 2000. Maija spent eight years working in a small animal veterinary clinic before realizing she had a dream of being a house call veterinarian, In 2008, Harbor Veterinary House Calls was born. Since opening Harbor Veterinary House Calls, Maija has never been happier and is finally able to practice medicine in a way that she and her patients are most comfortable.
Maija spends most of the time on the road seeing patients, but in her spare time you can find her sailing around Boston Harbor with her family, kickboxing, playing with her children, walking her goldendoodle Kaia or exploring the city. She also has a crazy cat named Coconut.

Corey Chavis - B.S. Veterinary Technology
Corey’s career in the animal field started in high school when she attended Essex Agricultural & Technical High School in the companion animal program. She began working at multiple kennels and dog training facilities. She then attended Mount Ida College in the veterinary technology program finishing up at Umass Amherst getting her Bachelors of Science in veterinary technology. She keeps herself busy working at Bulger Veterinary Hospital in Lawrence as an ER technician and now Harbor Veterinary House Calls.
